BirThDay BoY!!

I can't believe how fast time goes by.  Just yesterday I was waiting for Kenton to come meet his family and now we are celebrating his 1st year of life.  It is amazing to me how much love you can have for your child.  That kid has changed me for the better and I am so happy to have him in my life.  Being a mom to such a wonderful little boy gives me such a deep appreciation and love for my own mom.  There is nothing like a mothers love for her child and now I know!  I love you mom and thanks for loving me the way no one else could!
Today we celebrate our boy and we had some fun things planned!  Kaylee and I took him to Amanda's pool to go swimming and get some sun.  He loves the water and he loves splashing and kicking.  We also took him out for a birthday dinner which he slept through, but we sure did enjoy it!  I even ate some fried ice cream for him!  Yum!!

Here are some pictures from each month of Kenton's first year

Grandpa was teaching him how to float and swim...he was even teaching him how to hold his breath. Ha ha  Got to love Grandpa!

Spur of the moment ROAD TRIP

One of my best girl friends that I went to Hair School with, Julie called me and told me she was going to be in St. George visiting for a few days.  I talked to Jason and decided I was going to go make the trip to see her.  It actually worked out really well for us because I planned it for the days Jason worked late.  I am so mad because I didn't take any pictures of us...But I was so excited to see her.  Her living 6 or so hours away and me in Vegas we never see each other.  I invited my mom and Kaylee to come with me...We are also going to see Bri and Sky and Breyden boy!  Yay!
Who would have thought that I was going to be able to continue my fun week and go up to Utah to see some of my favoritest people?  We went to the hair store then to drop in and say Hi to Bri and then we went to see Skyler and Breyden.  Kaylee and I were going to go meet Julie at her Aunts to go swimming so we didn't stay long.  We had fun swimming and jumping from the tramp into the pool.  Kenton fell asleep on the way over and slept through our whole swimming day.  He would have loved that warm water!  After we had enough sun we went over to her brothers house and just hung out.  It was so good to visit like old times and make new memories!  It was fun watching Kenton with her niece.  They are really close in age and had fun playing!  Julie put feathers in our hair and they are cute!  Thanks Julie!!!
We planned hanging out on Wednesday and going to breakfast but it didn't work out.  We went to Red Robin again...because its my BIRTHDAY MONTH:) lol that's what I keep telling people at least!  It was yummy and I got to explore the menu!

ahhh don't poo on me!

We went shopping and played around the rest of the day.  I met up with Julie one last time before she had to leave.  It was sad leaving her knowing it will be a long time before we see each other again, but I didn't even know I would get to see her this month so I'm happy!  I love you Jewels!
The rest of the day we played at Bri and Sky's....watched the boys interact and played some Mexican train...we even took the boys on a bike ride and they loved it!  Ordered PIZZA and it was yummy!  Surprisingly I only gained a pound from all my outings!  It was an awesome spontaneous 2 days and we couldn't have enjoyed it more!

Kenton was eating and Breyden crawled over to me and wanted to help

BEST BIRTHDAY!!

Its my birthday and I will party like its my BIRTHDAY!!  I have had one of the bestest birthdays anyone could ever ask for!  Jason and I went to dinner on Tuesday at Texas De Brazil and absolutely stuffed our faces!  That is the best Meat I have ever had!  Although I would not pay full price for it.  Its not worth the money to leave stuffed and not feeling well...at least for my blood!  We had a buy one get one free deal so it was really nice!  I had been extra good and healthy so I could go all out for my birthday month:) and I did just that!  Again on Saturday Jason took me to Red Robin to redeem my free burger. (that we actually didn't use) My really good friend Ann and Brian and their daughter Cora came with us!  We had an enjoyable meal and then Ann wanted to go to Pay less before we went home to my house to play games...or so I thought?    We left there and when we got home Jason got the mail so I took our guests to go inside...and SURPRISE...I was attacked by silly string and a bunch of surprises!  I screamed bloody murder and went back outside, but of course they followed me out.  I spent the next 5 minutes trying to get silly string out of my hair and what not.  Talk about a warm welcome into my own home.  So I was fooled by my own husband and many friends but it was a fun surprise and I didn't suspect a thing...I just thought my husband cleaned my whole house for my birthday present...little does he know he did such a good job that he is going to have to do it more often!
Then on Sunday my mom made me my Birthday dinner that I asked for!!  Roast and mashed potatoes!  It was delicious she is such an amazing cook!  Then Jason's parents came over for some cake and ice cream.  Mama B made me a chocolate cake that said Happy Birthday Kahootanizing Queen which Papa B made her write.  Apparently he thinks I "Kahootanize"?  We played some games after that and it was an enjoyable night!

So next...I know right...The birthday that keeps on giving.  On Monday my actual Birthday I went to lunch with my Mom, Mama B, Amanda, Kaylee and Kenton.  We went to Olive Garden and got there soup and salad!  YUMMY!  I got to blow out another candle on yet another cake and yes I ate more CAKE!  I had cake coming out of my ears!

I have learned that Kenton is getting hard to take to restaurants because he wants to be eating constantly...and not the yummy kid snacks or his baby food, he wants the good stuff!  Hes no dummy!  I told my family that they could continue giving me gifts throughout the rest of the month and they had till the 31...They just laughed.  Oh well...
Like I said Best Birthday thanks to my Husband and my wonderful family!!

4th of July Weekend!!

This was the greatest weekend of all weekends!! OK I don't know why but I was really excited for the weekend of the 4th.  Not only is it Kenton's first 4th of July but I think mostly its because we convinced my sister to come down from Utah!  It was a hard thing to do but we accomplished it!!  It feels like we don't see them enough!  And of course Happy to celebrate the freedoms that we have!:)

Our days were filled with lots of fun, late nights, and more card game playing than you can imagine.  We took tons of pictures and we Tye dyed shirts for the boys which they wore for the 4th.  We even went mini golfing.  We had a blast trying to beat each other, competing to be the best.  My dad, Skyler, and Jason all tied.  We thought that was pretty funny.  The boys just watched from their strollers and were surprisingly good for it being past their bedtimes.

The Boys with the Lion

Kaylee had to get a picture with the Lion too.

Kaylee was spinning this thing and the boys were mesmerized by it.

On Monday we went swimming at the Southwicks house.  Skyler's parents are always so nice to invite everyone over.  We played water games and just enjoyed the company.  Breyden and Kenton loved the water.  When Kenton and I got out I set him down on the floor and he left and started crawling for the pool.  Guess he wasn't done yet?  My sister has pictures of that which I still have yet to get.  So they will come soon.

Then later that evening we had a BBQ at Grandma and Grandpa Brummetts house with the whole gang.  The food was absolutely amazing!  We had fun throwing the football around and being kids:)  On their street there is always a party for fireworks.  Merlin Hardy and his family always do a huge firework show.  It was just as good as any other year and it was fun to watch Kenton watch the fireworks.  I had to wake him up to watch them so he was a little tired.  I couldn't let him miss his first firework show!

After cleaning up all our mess Jason and I went with Amanda and Chris to Chris's house to set off some of his fireworks with his family.  Kenton was up way past his bed time yet again but he seemed to enjoy the fireworks.  Sister Bailey brought out Popsicles for everybody and he loved that!  We had an awesome weekend filled with lots of fun!  Thanks Bri and Sky for bringing your cute family down!  And thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Brummett and Grandma and Grandpa Waite for a good time!  We love you all!
